When you take care of your physical health, your life elevates on many levels. Health is a gift you have been given so be grateful for the health you have. Love your body and treat it like a temple.

Every individual is unique and will require their own wellness plan, but there are some basic guidelines you can follow to make sure you are healthy. 

The top three areas to focus on are diet, exercise, and sleep. If you make the decision to be well than these aspects of your life must be functioning in a balanced way. Practice following simple routines that become life long habits.

Eating a healthy diet is required to maintain a state of  harmony within the body. The more fruits and vegetables you eat in a day the better. Make sure you eat your produce raw or lightly steamed to help cleanse and detoxify the body. Drink plenty of fresh clean water throughout the day. This will keep you nourished, hydrated, and cleansed. 

Implement a simple exercise routine. It's beneficial to do one hour of cardiovascular exercise at least four times per week. Activities like running, hiking, swimming, or fast walking are good examples. This will allow you to release inner emotional energy and detox your body. Stretching and yoga will keep your spine healthy and youthful. This will ensure you are getting all the wellness benefits your body needs. You can increase your energy and happiness levels by making exercise a regular part of your life.

Sleep is essential for wellness. Everyone needs at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. Try to fall asleep and wake at the same time every day. This will keep your body in alignment with its natural rhythms. While falling asleep at night think of things that bring you joy so you dream peacefully. 

Include activities into your life that release stress. If you have a meditation practice you will find that insomnia and stress will melt away. Aromatherapy can be used to help boost your mood and release serotonin in the brain. Your wellness plan should be simple and fit with your lifestyle.

Take some time to create a wellness plan for your life. You can elevate this area by creating new habits in the ways mentioned. To embody wellness all systems must operate holistically.
